It is often said that bathrooms are the real reflection of the personality of a person. Generally people think that the larger the bathroom, the better it is. It is not always so. One must remember that in any bathroom renovation, plumbing -- including fixtures -- is the most expensive part. It is always a better idea to build a bathroom floor plan on the basis of the people occupying them. The floor plan of the master bathroom should always be made separately than the attached bathrooms. The bathroom floor plan should also be in sync with the floor plans of the room.

It is a common happening that though the bathroom is one of the smallest areas in the house, yet with accessories it takes maximum amount of time in remodeling. While making a bathroom floor plan one should also think about the layout of the bathroom and the areas that might need fixing. Things like multiple usage (can it be used by more than one person), enough counter space, position and size of towel racks, etc play an important role in the entire thought process of the bathroom floor plan. Lighting is one more critical component often ignored at the planning stage of a bathroom floor plan. Position, power and type of lighting should be finalized in the initial stages itself to avoid any extra cost at a later date.
