By Kimberly Lainson
For a tasty treat that bakes in five minutes, make a batch of Graham Cracker Bars. Let kids add their favorite toppings by providing peanuts, dried cranberries, toffee, candy-coated chocolate pieces and sprinkles.
- 12 Graham Crackers
- 3/4 Cup firmly packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
- 1 Cup Dry Roasted Peanuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips, chopped
- Assorted candy confetti sprinkles, broken coated candy pieces
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place graham crackers in a single layer in a 15 1/4 x 10 1/4-inch cookie pan.
Combine sugar and butter in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Pour mixture over graham crackers; spread evenly.
Top with peanuts, bake 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with chopped candy; add sprinkles. Cool completely in pan on wire cooling rack.
Makes about 24 bars
